Went to Guaymas and explored more of San Carlos

Just realized I didn’t post today. Bad me.  We went to bed early last night and both of us slept like logs. Bill’s wrist was bothering him this morning. From fighting the pot holes maybe. It’s fine now.
The weather here is beautiful, no wind and in the low 80s. We drove into Guaymas today. We haven’t been there for a couple of years and wondered what had or had not changed. Also we found out there is now a WalMart there. And a Sam’s Club and Thursday a new Home Depot is opening.
We had a rather interesting experience while there – a reminder of the “old Mexico” and then an introduction to the “new Mexico.” But will go into that in next post. We may have even made the evening TV news there.
After getting back to San Carlos we walked around the marina for a while.
Then drove out to the north end of town. It used to be nothing. Now there is a whole new section of town there. Big hotels, lots of homes and wide paved roads. A lot happens in a few years.
Then we watched the sunset. Kind of pretty tonight.
Went back to Jennie then walked over to the restaurant for dinner. Had chicken quesadillas made with Cornish Game Hens! They were delicious.
Restaurant - Ate upstairs
I’ll post about our trip into Guaymas in the morning before we leave for Huatabampito.
