Drippy Rainy Day

Getting even more rain – for the next three days. Sure making up for none during the summer. Dark and gloomy in and out and its only 4:00 o’clock.

Went to Post Office this a.m. to mail my stained glass sales (made another sale last week – Yippee) Also mailed off a quilt for our second great granddaughter. Thought about keeping it for her first birthday in May but figured what the heck – I need to get rid of some of the stuff sitting around here.
Put a couple of the things I’ve just made on the web site. Two necklaces and two stained glass pieces. Forgot how much work it is to add items. Almost done though. Now I want to start making some 3-D angels. They are fun to make.
Wasn’t happy with the race yesterday. My driver, #18, led 302 of 400 laps and didn’t win the race. He was running out of fuel and had to stop for gas and ended up 7th. Someone made the wrong call there. That seems to be happening a lot lately. Maybe it’s time for some changes in the organization.
Had company for dinner and then watched some of the DVDs with the Mexico pictures on them. We sure keep busy when we are there.
Got the new assessment from the county tax assessor – value of the house went down quite a bit. Good for what we’ll have to pay in property tax but not so good if we ever want to sell.
Amazing – about an hour ago we called the propane people up to come fill our RV tank. The office said he would be here in a week. He showed up about 20 minutes later! One of the few advantages of living in a small town. He likes to visit with Bill.
A friend of ours who was diagnosed with Leukemia in January is now in remission and has been released by her doctor and she is back at work for the first time today. So happy for her and for the advances in medicine.
